Former ELO 2 member brings pop classics to the Reading Room -

An enthusiastic audience of more than 40 greeted former ELO 2 star Phil Bates for his concert in the Reading Room on Friday 31 July. As well as ELO hits, he performed Beatles songs, his own pieces and some favourites, including Waterloo Sunset and Whiter Shade of Pale. Hey Jude was the popular finale to the evening, which saw several people take to the dance floor, including dance couple of the night, Roger and Helen Hooper. Well done all concerned.
